K-Beauty Brand, InnisFree | Coming to America!

Hi friends!

If you keep up with me and my ridiculously long Instagram Stories… you might remember me talking about the Korean beauty brand, InnisFree, back when I was in Korea this past summer!

I went a little product crazy while I was in Seoul because I wanted to get more in touch with the Korean side of the beauty industry. I asked around for the best brands to try–and all of my cousins recommended InnisFree.

One of the brand’s main selling points is that it sources its ingredients from the famed Korean island: Jeju Island. This island is known for its beauty, natural resources, and well, for being a honeymooner hotspot.

Over the course of my one month stay in Korea, I became a major fan of InnisFree. I, being a procrastinator, didn’t stock up on my products before I went back to America–but I was like, it’s fine! I’ll order them online!

No. There weren’t any American stores!

And I really didn’t want to order from Korea. Flash forward to present day–me + you, talking in this post—-InnisFree is launching in America this fall! Yay!

In light of their upcoming fall launch in NYC, I’m so happy to be able to tell you a little bit about them, and test out some of their new products! I received a box of serums, face masks, moisturizers, and cleansers from them–but today, let’s start off with two products:

Intensive Hydrating Serum with Green Tea Seed &
Youth-Enriched Gel Cream with Orchid

If you’re on the oilier skin side, I’m reaching out to you! I learned a long time ago, with my uber-oily skin, that oily skin needs moisture too! I used to think I didn’t have to use a moisturizer because, yo, from what it looks like, there’s PLENTY of moisture on my face already.

It took me way too long to learn that, if you don’t moisturize your oily skin properly, your skin tries to compensate by producing MORE oil. Thus, making your skin look OILY. Ah!

I apply the Green Tea Serum after cleansing and toning. After that, I apply the Orchid Gel Cream. One: they feel great on the skin. Both products spread on light, and feel extremely soothing. Two: they smell like a trip to the spa. I’m a fan. And three: they won’t leave your skin feeling sticky, or (as we oily skin people know all too well) looking overly moisturized. Both products absorb quickly and leave your skin feeling soft to the touch!

The Green Tea serum is formulated with freshly squeezed Jeju green tea extract and green tea seed oil to deliver moisture and nourishment to your skin. The Orchid Gel Cream utilizes the vitality of Jeju orchids for wrinkle, elasticity, skin tone, moisturization, AND pore care. Amen!

My Mom is an esthetician, and it’s from her that I learned that I should be looking for gel moisturizers and serums as my sources of moisture. InnisFree, how did you know what I need?

So far, I’ve been using these products every day for 2 weeks. I feel like this is as much info as I can give you right now–as I need more time with the products to be able to talk real results with you.

Until then, I hope you’ve enjoyed this intro, and that you are already thinking about trying InnisFree with me, as well!

K-beauty lovers, on three—1, 2, 3!

Xoxo,

Natalie
